CB Radio enlisted the help of OKC Comedy to bring Doug Benson to Oklahoma City. This is a very special occasion for the Oklahoma comedy scene. Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased from Ticket Storm. There will only be one show, and seating is limited. With your help, this show will only be the beginning of national comedians finally making OKC a dot on their tour maps. It would take too long to cite all of his credits, but here’s a small sampling: He has his own documentary called Super High Me based on a joke from his stand-up act. It’s available on DVD! How does a little show called NBC’s Last Comic Standing grab you? Fact: he finished top six in the 2007 season, no big deal. Doug is a series regular on VH1’s Best Week Ever. He also makes recurring appearances on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. His second Comedy Central Presents half-hour special premiered in January ‘09. He had the nerve to hit on Jennifer Aniston on the classic sitcom Friends, is a character on The Sarah Silverman Program, and oops, almost forgot, got Larry David in a headlock on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. If that’s not enough for you, he’s a creator/writer/star of The Marijuana-Logues, a show that’s been a hit (small pun intended) in clubs and theatres from Los Angeles to New York – and drew a bongload of rave reviews. Now there’s a CD, also called The Marijuana-Logues, and a book, The Marijuana-Logues: Everything About Pot That We Could Remember. In 2006, High Times Magazine named him Stoner of the Year and in 2009, he successfully made it to all the shows in his thirteen-day Medical Marijuana Tour. N0w Doug has a new CD Unbalanced Load out on Comedy Central Records and continues to express his love of movies on his I Love Movies podcasts (available on iTunes). Enough about Doug Benson already!

Graham Elwood: Website Myspace
Graham has been a stand-up comic for over 10 years working comedy clubs, colleges, TV shows, Holiday Inn Lounges, war zones, dive bars, and one time on the top of a double decker tour bus in Chicago. (not joking)You’ve probably seen him on the TV like when he hosted the socially relevant game shows “Cram” (GSN) and “Strip Poker” (USA). Along with making the world a better place by appearing on shows like “Best Bodies Ever” on VH1. Don’t forget the time when he told jokes on “The Late Late Show” (CBS). Also has starred in the theatrical plays Speed the Plow, Light Sensitive, Cash Flow and co-wrote the one act play Brothers.

You should already be familiar with Leah Kayajanian and Cameron Buchholtz who are both local, very funny comedians.

Local sponsors are also helping us make this show possible. We can’t thank these people and businesses enough for opening their checkbooks to support local comedy. This show would have not happened if not for these incredibly supportive people:

Another Update… That’s right… I’m workin’ it…

So – I’ve updated the “About Me” page… It now includes my official Bio and Comedy Resume…

You can probably skip reading it, but it had to get posted. For now enjoy this computer model of Human DNA!

An Update, Finally…

Still trying to learn how to manage the internets, but some progress is being made…

I’ve updated the Videos Page. If you’ll click on the “Video” tab above, you’ll see I’ve embedded the only online post of my stand-up act. (Courtesy of the good folks at Oklahoma Indie Now) You’ll also find the nearly complete works of a sketch comedy troupe I was in a few years back called, The Celibates. We also took on the moniker, Big Dumb Fat Girls, for a time.

The Stand-Up is an excerpt of a nice recording of a small show I headlined in Oklahoma City. It’s not completely awful.

The sketches are very experimental. Everything was written by the cast you’ll see in the videos, and they are truly absurd. I am extremely proud of them. So much so that we’ve reunited the folks that created these masterpieces to take another run at sketch comedy… Details to come…

Please Enjoy!
